Any one know of a company that sells War of 1812 US Kentuckey mounted riflemen figures in 6mm scale? I thank you in advance for your help for I am looking to game the "Battle of the Thames" and this unit was important in that battle.

I've been working slowly toward some War of 1812 forces in 6mm and had the same question. I didn't find anyone making figs for the mounted riflemen. In the end, I went with US cavalry and mounted settlers from the Plains Wars range by Irregular miniatures. The Kentucky mounted rifles seemed to be a bit irregular in their kit and I think in 6mm a "paint conversion" will be good enough. Good luck with the project!

Hello green beanie!

Same as Pattus Magnus, I'm not aware of anyone that actually makes them in 6mm. I also plan to game the "Battle of the Thames" someday. When I get around to it I thought I would use Baccus ACW cavalry code ACW13-Cavalry, Hat as subs. They also have them dismounted, ACW14-Cavalry, Hat, Dismounted that might come in handy as well.

If interested I also produced a rule set for the period that also includes the F&IW and AWI that is also sold by Baccus, called "Ruse de Guerre".

Best regards,

Glenn

I want to second Ruse De Guerre, the are a great set of rules for 6mm and the period.

Good idea on subbing ACW cavalry in hat, I am now wondering if they would work for partisan cavalry in the AWI too. i may order a bag and do the experiment.

Look at Baccus, 6mm Boers. They are in top hats and carrying rifles With a little conversion jackets can be filed to hunting coats, plumes added to hats and rifles changed to muskets They are certainly not perfect but at least you have something to put onthe table.

those with nubile fingers and sharp cutters could also cut off the upper body and replace it with the upper bodyof a AWI Militia in hunting coat.
