Gents,

If one were to build armies using the Front Rank range of 28mm figures for the forces of the Jacobite and Williamite armies that fought in Ireland, would that range pretty much cover all types of troops needed?

It says so on the website but I'm curious if there are any (obvious) missing figures that would be peculiar to that theatre not covered in the range.

What would be the majority type of troops from that range for line units for those that are familiar with it?

All comments pertaining to using the late 17th century Front Rank minis to build armies for the the Williamite war in Ireland would be appreciated.

Kind regards

On a quick look, only type I can see that is missing is dragoons in the floppy bonnet. Most units would consist of matchlock infantry and unarmoured pike. Some of the Jacobite units were very short on musketeers and, according to the muster rolls, there were some with improvised weapons, so the Monmouth rebels could be used. There would be some flintlock armed infantry, probably the Danish contingent.
