Hello,

Is there any 15mm familiar packs out there?

I am looking for small animals like, cats, hawks, ferrets, etc.

Thanks

I haven't found a much in 15mm "familiars" myself, but I have taken the 28mm familiars packs and rebased them to work with my 15mm minis, and they seem to be ok. A tiny snake looks like a largish snake, and a small cat looks like a knee-high cat, next to a 15mm.

I guess the question is- what size base are you using (or are you re-basing at all). I use 20mm square bases, and a 28mm cat or 'giant rat' looks a *bit* out of scale, but the alternative is getting really tiny. I have a hedgehog that I did from one of the Reaper packs (I think it's familiar pack 2) that is teensy tiny. However, 28mm eagles and vultures and such look great, and can even be used as full sized monsters/creatures.

My opinion is you need to rebase and put miniatures on their own base because: A) if they share a base the scale discrepancy is more obvious, and B) 15mm figures need bases because so many f them are unstable due to their small size.

I have sculpted a couple of yokai that would make excellent familiars, mainly the nekomata kitten and inugami pup, as well as the kamaitachi (sickle weasels). The third part of the hangeyou, the kitsune, should be cast and in production sometime in the near future.

Thank you for the replies.

UM,

That is a good perspective and I will keep in mind.

Jakar,

Those are excellent sculpts and there are good candidates in that range for a exotic Mage furry friend (no not cat girls!)

You could also look at N or H/O scale packs of animals for railroad layouts.
