What wargaming, or related, magazines in digital format allow the subscriber to keep each issue (download and save forever on whatever media I want)? I get Medieval Warfare and WSS since they are expensive to ship but I'm able to save them digitally and it takes up less room than hardcopy. I'd like to get others but I recall hearing that some subscriptions really mean "access license" (you stop paying you see none of what you paid for), which I'm not interested in at all. So what is available?

Wargames Illustrated. You can download all back issues and get new issues for about $7.00 USD a month. I get it and WSS digitally.

Thanks,

John

Do you get to KEEP the issues you downloaded if you want to stop being a member!

Wargames Illustrated now allows you to download a PDF of each issue. And a subscription gives you access to every issue of the Magazine going back to issue 1 I believe.
This inability to retain the copy of a magazine I buy has prevented me from a digital subscription to Miniature Wargames magazine. Which is a real shame because the magazine looks to be producing some excellent articles.

@Andrew.

Yep you sure do. They are PDF's you download and keep.

WSS has PDF

Hmmmm…

Okay, something to seriously consider then, vdal1812

Thank you!

I have not seen any that do not let you keep them. Non-wargaming mags I have seen some that are subscription lifetime only.

I know there were some in the past but that was a few years ago and it looks like some have chaged.. I'll have to check out WI.
