So…nothing to do with miniature warfare?

Robert, maybe not directly but a quick glance shows to me that she's researched quite a few aspects of the role playing and video segments of gaming.

I'm waiting for some intrepid Anthropologist to come and study me and my wargaming hobby culture. Of course unlike the Yanomamö, Don Juan and the Samoans I will ask for a cut of the book and movie.

"the role playing and video segments of gaming"

There is, for me, no "gaming" and so no segments thereof. I am a miniature wargamer. This is The Miniatures Page. I feel no more kinship with RPG and video gaming--there's video gaming?--than I feel with the jocks on ESPN.

So until ESPN Ocho covers big CLS games…

Yeah, I know. But minorities make clear distinctions or get diluted to death.

And I figured it out. "Video gaming" must be what used to be called "computer gaming"--only now the pretty pictures are relatively even more important?

And I can wait a long time for the academic who will write up miniature warfare, because I can see the abstract already. Dan, are you familiar with the term "character assassination?"

If ESPN carries historical miniatures games, I will reconnect the TV. You heard it here first.

But I will still have no interest in a blog concerned with RPGs and computers because it's all "gaming."
