Here's a look at the Gem Theater, a model that vaguely resembles the Deadwood headquarters of Al Swearingen from the HBO series of the same name. Al's usually out on the balcony, but I forgot to put him out for the photo.
Dan Doherty is behind the bar serving whiskey, ready to roust any troublemakers. They recently added a piano to attract more customers, plus some can-can dancers. In back there's a faro table. The dealer looks a lot like Kurt Russell. Upstairs is one of the Gem's celebrated soiled doves, trolling for customers.
The prostitution business has been way off lately due to the addition of Chez Amis, a new cathouse a block down the street. A couple of the girls are out on the balcony. Chez Amis features four beds, no waiting. Next door is the dude who started the Trader Joe's franchise. The guy shoveling manure out in the street is the town's director of streets & sanitation. He's the new town mayor-elect.
Miniatures are Knuckleduster 28mm and Artizan. Building shell is Whitewash City with scratch built interior. We're running the game at this year's Little Wars. Here's yet another shameless plug: hmgsmidwest.com |
