How do get models and cards for the game. Are there alternative models sold by other companies?

There's a few alternative options out there, mainly Onslaught or Vanguard miniatures if you want metal, and some designers on Shapeways. The original models have been unavailable from Forgeworld for a while now.

I have Lightnings and Thunderbolts in 3mm, as air-cover for my 3mm Epic Guard, that come from Shapeways.

Yes, in 6mm there are a number of alternatives … Onslaught and Vanguard being probably the best choices.

Thanks for your info guys! Can you recommend which models from above company will be the best substitudes?

What are you looking to collect? Space Marines, Guard, Eldar, Tau, etc? That will determine which is the best option.

I am not sure yet. I want factions that fly very different. For example, as far as I know, human planes are tough and shooty where Eldar are easy to damage, but very maneuverable. Ork interest me because of the look/painting point of view. Not sure what the others are, probably interested in all of them as each race has strengths and weaknesses.

I have the basic rules, but not the book or cards. I played it couple of times when it came out, liked it, but was not interested in investing money in it. Now I feel like that is something I want to have and play more often.
