Gents,

It looks like 20mm 1967 Arab, Jordanian and Egyptian/Syrian figures are not all available in 20mm…Liberation Miniatures aka RH Models has some.

What figures would stand in for 1967;
Israeli?
Jordanian?
Egyptian/Syrian?

You sage advice/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Kind regards

Happy W

…would anything proxy in 28mm ???

PSR:

Underfire Miniatures (they are perfect 1:72, very very good, CP Models like)

And of course there is my favourite Elhiem Miniatures (also perfect 1:72) with vast ranges:

Underfire's figs are indeed nice, but are for 1982. The Israelis have different weapons (Galil) and different web equipment.

R,

Wargames Foundry once released a lovely Perry sculpted range for ‘67/‘73 in 20mm. Rumours of a rerelease have circulated for years. I emailed them just the other day and they confirmed it is planned. I would recommend emailing them through their contact address on their website and adding your voice, the representative who emailed me noted there'd been a lot of interest lately in their rerelease.

Underfire and Elhiem do post '73 Israelis – Galils and the ‘Beirut '82 look'…not the '67 or '73 look. The M1 helmet and FN rifle is the look for the earlier period which nobody except Liberation (RH Models) do.

RH Models say they are re doing the early AIW so that is good news but the IDF won't be available until sometime this year.

The Foundry 20mm are not suitable for '67 or perhaps even '73 IMO. They to sport the later Beirut '82 look….the helmet being the give away.

So, there appears to be few options except wait for RH Models to release as far as I can tell…quite surprising given the subject matter really…but that's just my view.

Those foundry figs have the para helmet and are very nice indeed , but a bit on the big side of 20mm , when they were first released they were listed as true 1/72 figures .
Stonewall do a range of 67/73 20mm Israelis made by the late Paul Barnshaw .

The Foundry miniatures are wearing what, to my eyes at least, has always appeared to be Brit Mk2 para helmets with scrim covers and retaining tape so very suitable for ‘67 and ‘73. The later Orlite ballistic helmet worn in ‘82 is rather different again.

@ Dwight – thanks, I hadn't heard of Stonewall.

Does anyone have any pics of the Stonewall Israelis?

@ Leigh – thanks. In 20mm that probably works. Foundry indicated to me in a reply to my query that they are…

"thinking of re-releasing them in the not too distant future – we just need enough time to find the moulds, probably remake some of them and also search out the images."

…some hope there…time…who knows…
