I've always been interested in Gen. Stand Watie: can anyone recommend any good books about him? [I've been considering a purchase of 'General Stand Watie's Confederate Indians by Frank Cunningham' but there seem to be some bad reviews on it: any opinions on that one?]

I have in storage a book that is mostly a collection of letters by Confederate Cherokees during the ACW. Cannot recall the title.

A number of Indian tribes fought on both sides of the ACW. And at times against each other. Though numbers small compared to the forces of the North and South.
