Hey Baranovich…you're not the ONLY guy who can paint some dwarfs!!! :)
Hi all. I finally finished my Dwarf army, which has been a long-neglected and languishing project since about 2011. Head on over to Dead Dick's Tavern to see the entire army in many more pictures like these, if so inclined! angrypiper.com/?p=1975 Credit to the aforementioned Baranovich, whose recent Dwarven-themed efforts provided inspiration for me to get my butt in gear and finish this up. If only I could make banners like him! Comments welcome, there or here! |

Fantastic!! Awesome!! Can't tell you how thrilled I am that my humble work inspired you to finish your own dwarves…! They look amazing… well done! Hooraaah!!! |

I commented on your blog. Tremendous work! We share an opinion of how to make a truly gorgeous dwarf army (start by collecting whatever models you want…). |

Lovely army, outstanding. Piper on your blog you mention: "I have no interest whatsoever in Age of Sigmar. It is unlikely that these stalwart dwarfs will ever see battle…" I couldn't agree more. But rather than relegating these fine fellows to the display cabinet for all times, you should consider Kings of War. Very fun and straightforward game with a cheap as chips soft cover rule book with everything in it (no codex's!). I got excited about it as soon as I realised the potential of fantasy mass battle games once decoupled from bloody Games Workshop. Hell you can even play KoW tournaments with whatever models you like…" shock horror what a concept!:) |

Thank you to all for the kind words. Baranovich: Now please start work on an Empire army or some 40K Orks. Both are projects of mine I have yet to start and I could use some motivation. :) PatrickWR: Didn't I buy the unit of Dwarfs with 2-handed weapons from YOU about a year or so ago? Weren't you converting them to Chaos dwarfs, or do I have my TMPers mixed up? I know I bought something from you. My PM list proves it! pessa00: I actually own Kings of War, and I agree, it's a nice set of rules. I especially like the fact that you don't need to physically remove casualties, which has given rise to some really awesome scenic bases for entire units. My problem is finding people to play with. I can barely scratch together enough guys for skirmish gaming at this point, never mind players who have made the investment in Warhammer-sized armies. They're just not around me anymore… |
