Hello everyone, I've submitted this topic online because yesterday it was polluted, then removed completely!?!? When I wanted to post my topic titled Battle of the Little Bighorn on the forum with the same title, this was refused because it was said that the subject already existed, when it was removed completely yesterday ??? Today, I put it back online under this other title! Here it is ! I need everyone's help to find the most accurate battle orders possible for the beloved Battle of the Little Bighorn occurred June 25/26, 1876, in the Montana Territory between the United States Army against a force of the Lakota and Northern Cheyennes during the Great Sioux War of 1876. (companies by companies if possible for the US Army) Thank you |

Surely you can find that out with a quick Google? It's hardly difficult, it's literally the companies of one regiment from one of the most documented fights in history…. |

If you Google Sioux Atlas pdf it'll even show which companies went where…. Atlas is in 2 parts but both are freely available – you want the second edition with colour maps. |

Thank you all for the links , but rosters of the 7th Cavalry have been published repeatedly in specialized books on the Little Bighorn River fight. Probably no two rosters have been identical… In your opinion which is the best? |

Paskal, Men With Custer by Ken Hammer is the best in my opinion. My copy is a first edition, 1995. I believe it has been updated in later editions as more info became available. I just did a search on Bookfinder.com and see that Ron Nichols, who was listed as editor of the first edition, is now listed as author. It was published again in 2000, this is the Nichols one. Also found two later editions, 2010 and 2011. I had forgotten the pubicatinohistiry of this great work. The later editions may only have additional biographical data. These include short bios of the men. Tom |

Ok thank you, it's good to know, but your copy is a revised and expanded copy of the author's 1972 book. |
