"One of the most famous battles of the War of 1812, the struggle for Queenston Heights was both a triumph and a tragedy for the British and Canadian forces fighting the invading American army. The British and Canadians fought back the Americans and prepared the way for eventual victory, but suffered the loss of one of their most important leaders, Isaac Brock…."

It would certainly be fun to have the Coloured Corps militia company for the British side. I'm not clear whether they were in infantry red coats or Royal Engineers blue, though.

I wargamed Queenston Heights about five years ago complete with high cliffs and the Niagara river. The terrain took a long time to build. It was a great looking battlefield and a good game. We played it twice, changing sides.

Re the 'The Volunteer Coloured Corps' sometimes referred to as Runchey's Rangers. I believe my memory is correct that they had green tunics with yellow facings, grey trousers and a variety of headwear. One of my figures wears a tam (beret).

More of the battlefield. The home there has importance after the war of 1812 and was build if I recall in 1830's.
