We've been meaning to do some D-Day games for a while now.

We played three games that day – two beach landings (Omaha & Sword) and a St. Lo scenario.

You can find pics here.

Nice looking game. thumbs up Boomorowski Junior looks like he might grow up to be gamer. grin

That looks like it was a good game, and on a great looking table.

The battles around D Day and onwards into Normandy are my area of interest, but never managed yet to play a big game like that.

Thanks for the post.

Thankfully, for my Dad, who was there on D-day, the Americans managed to pull off a win on Omaha.

Thanks for sharing. Very good looking game but even more important looks like folks had a lot of fun and shared some camaraderie.

I would love to play a D-Day game, there can be so much to put into it you have to leave out something.

Thanks chaps. I think young Boomorowski Junior might be destined for the wargames table alright.

Stumbled onto this a bit late..
but great looking game. Wow, I had forgotten the Airfix 'fixed fortification' set. I had one of those myself long ago. Thanks for the pics and the memory.

I'd say THAT fellowship is what puts the real -joy- into the hobby.
