Explaining how the upcoming 95th – Adventuring in the Napoleonic Wars puts small fights into a larger battle. link |

This is sounds interesting, Ed. Your initial premise seems to be very similar to that of Chosen Men. Could you explain how your rules will differ from that? |

As long as there are not a bunch of special character traits to keep up with, I'm interested too. I don't like things that are too RPG'ish. |

Fatuus Natural – Sorry, can't comment as I am unfamiliar with those rules. In fact, I haven't played or looked at any non-THW rules in the last ten years. Any updates to THW rules have come from player requests on the groups and forums. I use the game mechanics for all THW games adapted and updated from 2006 when I won an Origins Award. Coopman – I agree. Each figure has a Rep (think morale) and then could have a one Attribute that modifies one game mechanic such as shooting. Also, I only use these Attributes on the Star (you) and his group of 4 – 6 figures. All others don't use them. |

95th does have 14 different types of Missions and a Campaign system with little book keeping. |

Sorry, what does THW stand for? Acronyms – the curse of TMP! After some cogitation I realised RPG couldn't possibly mean Rocket-Propelled Grenade and might mean Role-Playing Game, but THW has me stumped. |

Ah ha! Looking again at the link in your first post brings illumination. The heading of your blog suggests you call yourself '2 Hour Wargames', so THW must be a (slightly disguised) acronym for that. And looking further around your website confirms it. So you're saying you haven't played any but your own rules for 10 years? Amazing. You must be very pleased with them! |

Ed, Does it have the PEF (Possible Enemy Force) mechanic for solo gaming? |
coopman | 22 Feb 2018 5:48 p.m. PST |
Ed, Can the game be played with several multi-figure bases making up each unit? I don't have many indiv. based Nap. figures, but I've got tons of them mounted 4 per base in 15mm. |

Fatuus Natural – THW is my full time job and has been for the last 10 years. I'm pleased and lucky to have a large customer base that is pretty vocal and provides feedback and what they would like to see. coopman – Yep, PEFs are still in the game and a large part of it. You can use multi-figure stands if you want to, just treat each base as one figure in the rules. It'll still work. 95th is really focused on you the Star. You control your actions and those of the group you command. But when playing with multiple units, the other units are run by the game mechanics. For example – My Star (me) is a Portuguese Cacadore who has five guys under his command. In the game a British Light Infantry group shows up. We can now move and fight together, but how they fight and if they stay or go is subject to the game mechanics. My group will behave as I want them to. If things go badly then the Grunts, those guys not under my command, may decide to leave or duck back and not fight. |

So when is it being released? |

Is the Star a mounted officer? |
Ed the Two Hour Wargames guy | 22 Feb 2018 7:44 p.m. PST |
Waiting on one ore piece of artwork form my artist. The Star could be amounted officer if you want it to be as there are rules for cavalry. The key is you command 5 to 7 figures, including yourself. |
