Why is UK postage so high? I can send a 2kg package anywhere in UK for £3.90 GBP, signed for. That provides £50.00 GBP insurance cover. Admittedly it is "second class", but still normally delivered within 3 days, which should be quick enough for all but the most impatient wargamer. |

I have been very happy with 2nd Edition BLB. The new one seems to focus on a part of the era in which I am less interested. There is no description of it's salient features so I am reluctant to pre order. |

I'm with you Shagnasty. To pay that much for a campaign for which I have no figures or interest seems a waste. I'll wait for the Great Northern War WSS volume, whenever that is. |

There's some thoughts on this here. Interesting approach we'll see how it works out. link |

It should be no more than £4.00 GBP to post. That even allows for paying for packing time. £7.95 GBP is a rip-off |

I don't have a problem with this approach to the rules- the particular focus is my main interest as well and there is enough flexibility to allow me to play WSS and GNW if I want to- but Gildas Facit is right, the postage charge is a rip off and has certainly put me off buying, even with the pre-order discount. If I buy a book from Amazon Marketplace, I pay £2.00 GBP:80 postage, so £4.00 GBP:00 to £4.00 GBP:50 should easily cover p+p for Under the Lily Banners. Think I might wait for the pdf. |

Those are two ugly faces on the cover of the rules! :-) |

Indeed I agree Greg. A really huge thanks to the very many customers who have made the pre order activity a bit of a Red Letter day for us. We've been humbled by the take up! Again, thank you! |

Seems rather expensive for a core set and still needing to wait for supplements for the main periods of this age that I am interested in, I don't see why all the rules couldn't have been in the initial volume and use the supplements to provide the scenarios and army lists. Postage too seems an example of ludicrous overcharging. I'll wait until I can examine them in the flesh to see if they are worth a punt (no pun intended) and then probably still wait for a second hand copy to come up, especially as my own periods are only loosely covered so far. |

Pre order response has been overwhelming. The book should be released Friday pending delivery from Cambridge to EK. We'll revert back to the correct RRP of £30.00 GBP by midnight tomorrow, so if anybody was thinking about it, now is the time to strike. |

The pre orders will ship Friday 090318 and the US shipment gets picked up tomorrow too. Shouldn't be long to wait – have a butchers here : link |

Umm, I hate to ask but is there a good 3rd party review of these rules? Are they simple or complex? |
