Painting these three armies took about a week each. There was no need to rush as I was researching material for an upcoming project. Rather than posting a separate page for each I have presented the lot as one post with photos and a bit of text.

This essentially finishes the refurbishment project ‘plus' as the Sumerians are still being designed. Projected completion date for the Eureka Sumerians is May or June.

That is good to know.
Post photos when you have them painted.

I took me about 6 months to paint up my Impetus 28mm NKE Egyptian army so the idea of painting up an army in a week seems a bit quaint. Mind you now my NKE consists of about 388 figures (infantry, riders and horses) so I guess we are talking about different scales of projects. Less armies of bigger size or more armies of smaller size.

Nice photo.
But, been there, done that.

I had the full Roman legion with Hinchliffe figures.
At a 1:20 scale that was 256 figures and ten cohorts of auxilia, some were 40 figure strong Miliaria plus cavalry units of 24 troopers. The Greek pike army was equally as big.

But for all its quaintness I enjoy more playing a number of battles in an evening especially if done in a campaign setting.
