The Kharadron Overlords and the Vanguard Chamber of the Stormcast Eternals are getting Start Collecting sets next week.

They are up for preorder now:

If you were to buy the Kharadron figs separately it would be $155 USD and the Vanguard would be about $142 USD so both are quite good deals at $85. USD

Good thing that I already have an Army of Fantasy Dwarves that cost me far less.

So you can spend the $85 USD to get a few figures or you can go elsewhere and spend a bit more and get a decent size army.

Tell us where you can go and get an air ship, three dwarfs balloon troopers, a character and 5 other figures for $85 USD again.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll grab the Kharadron set for my kids Birthday.

LOL @ Mithmee

I said getting an Army

You can even get them at Walmart

So as I said you can get a few miniatures or enough to put a decent Army together.

But you can go right ahead and get the far less number of miniatures since that is your right.

I and many others will rather field a complete army rather than just a few miniatures.

Oh and do it for far less money as well.

Pictors Studio20 Feb 2018 10:03 p.m. PST

I can get an army of dead ants from the nest outside for nothing. I don't want an army of dead ants, I want a dwarf airship.

I'm not sure what your point is in even posting in here. The thread was about Kharadron Overlords, as far as dwarves go, there aren't any airships in any of the offerings from Mantic as far as I can tell.

Good old Mithmee, casting yet another cloud of doom over our appreciation for awesome, value-priced GW stuff…lol

Baranovich23 Feb 2018 7:01 a.m. PST

Mithmee, you do realize that this thread isn't about price comparisons. Pictors is merely reporting some new GW products available.

All due respect to Mantic, but comparing the level of detail in their dwarves to GW's plastics for AOS is quite frankly amusing. Mantic is totally fine for getting a rank and file dwarf army together, not saying they aren't. But why do you make the comparison in a thread like this? Start your own threads about your unhappiness with GW's pricing. Don't hijack someone else's thread.

By the way, I recently bought some of the new AOS Nurgle stuff including the Great Unclean One. I spent about $180 USD on a total of about 20 miniatures. Why? Because their detail is spectacularly awesome. It's not about how many I'm getting.

The Kharadron Overlords aren't like the rank and file blocks of Warhammer. The airships alone are well worth the money bought individually, and to get one in a pack like this all for $85 USD is amazing value.

Great posts Baranovich!

Pictors: I want an Apple.

Mithmee: I can get two turnips cheaper, why would I buy an apple?

Mithmee:

These guys are total GW fans. They want the GW style and accept GW pricing. Its not my style (and seemingly not yours) and I would never accept the pricing. But they like the style and seem to reveal in the pricing. And that's fine – its their money and time not ours.

These threads are really just ads and promos for GW products. Why can't they just be left to bang the drum for GW? When I (finally) finish the Knights and Knaves edition which covers something like the now abandoned GW Olde World, I announce in in its own thread.

Just let 'em enjoy and promote their GW stuff in their own posts.
