I usually wrap well in loo roll (technical term is bog roll) as its cheap and effective and can be reused at the other end! (Too many puns!). Ahem.. Had no complaints so far. Just wondering what other folks are using for posting out painted minis. I was considering getting something like battle foam, at least for high end orders. Would you think it would be worth the extra price? Any other ideas? What do you use? |

I wrap each figure in that really thin foam sheet that electrical stuff cones in, then line the box with bubble wrap and alternate layers of wrapped figures and bubble wrap. Make sure there's no movement in the box and post them (only ever signed for delivery) |

I use puffed rice cereal. I have done so for years after learning the trick from George Johnson (Mr. GAJO). Never had a problem on the recieving end, and the buyers can always feed the birds and squirrels. |

I found the better way. On Ebay I purchased 1000 2 X 2 inch zip lock plastic baggies for about 1/2 cent each. They hold a 28mm casting perfectly, foot, mounted rider or horse. Place a bunch into a quart zip lock bag, fill any remaining space with "anything soft" and place that in the middle of packing in a box. You can reuse them multiple times if mailing back and forth. Easy to use, easy to store and no mess. Perfect! |

I use thin bubble wrap and then pack with plenty of extra bubble wrap. Over 10 years of running a painting service and I would say 99% of the time I have no problems. |

I cut Bubblewrap into strips and wrap / tape each figure separately. The strips are then loop-taped inside the box with more Bubblewrap on top with packing peanuts to fill the space. It takes more time but I have never had any issues. |

Being cheap I wrap the figs in paper towels, put them into ziplock bags then generously pad the boxes with as much soft stuff as I can find |

Thanks for the replies. I seem to be in the ball park. I do wonder if a block of foam with a number of length slits (or individual slits?) cut in may be quick and cheap. A quick look suggests $ 5-6 Au for about a square foot of 50mm (buying a 2m x 60cm roll). That should fit about 10 x 10 figures, about 100+ 28mm figures per sheet. Thats about 5-6cents each. Also a lot easier and faster than individual wrapping and then packing. Plus the client can use it for storage, saving them money, especially if you use a nice card box that suites the foam. |

I used to use blocks of foam with slits for the figures, but found out that the figures might end up damaged nonetheless and the solution was neither cost effective nor easy to implement. Now I individually wrap each figure in bubblewrap and then use puffed rice to fill the box, I think it is the best solution |
