Having finished the playtest phase on the rules link we did a couple of games at the club. As usual we had a lot of fun! If you want to see how the games went please go to this link
Enjoy! |

I like that system! What size table are you using, and have you got any way to balance what comes out of the portals against the strength of your team? |

Our games are on a standard 6x4 table. Balancing is done by varying the number of portals on the table, or by limiting the maximum number of enemy figures you can have on the table at any one time. In the rules I have also mentioned that if you haven't enough figures, use a less threatening option, or nothing at all! The system is designed so that the less aware the enemy are of your position(s) – IE how many Portals can see you at any one time – the smaller, and less likelihood there is of more enemy figures appearing each turn. (So sneaking around DOES work!) I always have a full platoon of Bucket heads available…
…though this is sometimes too many for the size of our own unit(s)! |

Nice. Do you have a Rebel opposing force or do you like to keep it asymetrical? |

I have quite a lot of Rebel figures, and more to paint. If you want to use the Empire against the Rebels, there is an Empire edition QRS with a Rebel chart. The games are asymetrical usually as the Rebels have better troops! The system is hard to balance as it depends on dice and how the Portals are deployed, how many there are, and how easily the players forces keep out of sight of them! |

Just a quick note, the Clone Wars supplement has been updated, with STAPS and a couple of alterations to stats on a couple of vehicles. link |
