These are the old Airfix soft plastic 1/72nd scale French Line Infantry

I am basing them for Blucher.

I have kept these for 43 years, even though I was not interested in Napoleonics as I could not part with figures. and just when I decide to throw them or give them away, I find the Blucher rules and the podcast Napoleon 101. Considering their age, I am happy with them. napoleonbonapartepodcast.com

I hope you like them. Constructive comments are welcomed.

My 40 year old Airfix are very brittle, and tend to break at the legs and arms.

I retired my 1966 Airfix (Napoleonics; Medievals; WWII)
25 years ago – same reason, brittleness…

I still have mine, but want to rebase them for Black Powder and LaSalle. Many of the guys first saw a table top battlefield around 1975.

Thanks. Great nostalgia trip!

May they bring you many a victory……….

Of course they will need artillery and heavy cavalry for that, plus light cavalry for Recce work, limbers and caissons, engineers and pontoniers. A Guard Reserve would not hurt either.

You are on slippery slope now

Slippery slope if you are lucky. More down a mineshaft with a tail wind for many.
But the breeze is nice that way.

Best of luck & enjoyment Tiberius.

Mine still fight alongside their younger cousins, Italeri, Revell, Zvezda.

And Tiberius I believe you have seen mine in last year's thread. Always good to see the Airfix figures painted

Thanks – they aren't but I will take the kind words.

Yes, shame 12,000 miles separate us otherwise a game would be a good chance to keep you enthused with these old Airfix sculpts.

They look great! That flag-bearer brings back such a pang of nostalgia – getting the Airfix Waterloo farmhouse set when I was about six was an almost religious experience!

My Airfix 40+ year old figures only have some that are brittle (Indians come to mind).

Play seemed a lot simpler and sometimes a lot more fun back then …

Thanks everyone, a 4th base is nearly finished
