I actually have this but have not had the opportunity to try it out yet (planning a try this weekend). It looks very good and is very much like the Battle Lore/ Command and Colors games with a couple of significant differences. You don't have a random "command deck" to use to give orders,instead you get a set number of activations per turn based on your generals rating. What you do have to add the randomness is a set of Battle Cards that each player draws from each turn (1 per player per turn) and they have random events such as reinforcements or unexpected retreats. It uses the same dice for combat (symbols for hits on certain types) but uses a different system to determine the number of dice thrown.
All in all very good looking and I am looking forward to trying it out soon.
