I thought Freya was a great choice to model. 1. Nobody else does her, to the best of my knowledge. 2. While many of the Norse gods and goddesses seem to hang out in Asgard and don't really do anything, Freya does get out and get around. Yeah, she does have something of a past. She and Odin divide up the fallen heroes (and maybe she gets all the fallen shieldmaidens--they don't get separate billing). She does go out and do things, and has that falcon cloak to transform her into a bird so she can travel quickly. I like the way she's dressed, too: there was a period when Norse goddesses were drawn or painted in Greek/Roman style clothing! Grelber Bought into the Kickstarter to get her. |
