Brigade Games has a nice range but I don't know about Portuguese. |

As far as I know, nobody makes the Portuguese with the fluted helmet. |

Battle Honors/19th Century Miniatures also has an East Africa range. |

I believe the Battle Honours range feature early Paul Hicks sculpts? Rather nice range, very affordable. The Brigade Games will definitely tower over them though. For the Portuguese you'll have to go down a scale, I'm afraid. |

You could probably use Askari minis Germans Naval infantry in pith helmets for Portuguese Marinhna troops in Angola. they had a little border flare up w/ German S.W.Afrika.You could use the Old Falcon German S.W.Afrika askaris..which they never had. But the figures are great for German Togo and kamerun askaris and Portugues Askaris I you file the fez down to a pill box . They are available they Matchlock minis..now they are true 25;s a little smaller than Brigade .but fit w/Askari minis.. |

I'm painting up the Empress Spanish American War Spaniards as WWI Portuguese Colonial Army troops. Haven't really found a great match for the Metropolitan units with pith helmets. |
