Hello:

Does anyone make a 28mm German Staff Car? Mercedes Benz, Steyr or otherwise non-kubelwagon.

idontbelieveit03 Feb 2018 7:14 p.m. PST

Warlord makes a Horsch field car and a Protze too I believe.

Company B/JTFM have made a Volkswagen in the past. Not sure of availability right now.

Tamiya makes a 1/48th Citroen kit.

Using this in Google brings up a lot of results including several from TMP… :)

Here's another excellent Company B offering. I like this one best.

Tamiya offers several in 1/48 if that's your vehicle scale. :-)

Was hoping that would be out by now, but no sign of the resin stuff as yet. I would also like a nice open top Mercedes for a kill Hitler/Heydrich/sundry Nazi bigwig scenario.

Perhaps you will find they made a conversion for a staff car from this one somewhere.

German leader as passenger.

Heydrich was being driven in a Mercedes-Benz 320 Convertible B, which frankly doesn't look prestigious enough. When you're talking 28mm staff car, you're well into skirmish/RPG country. Assassinating a Nazi in something like that would be like a swashbuckler abducting a female from a mail coach.

Adding to what chicklewis posted above. Company B also makes staff cars from other countries. The German confiscated a lot of Italian vehicles after Sicily.

I was thinking of building the 6-wheel Mercedes staff car, but wondered whether the market might be a bit limited. Any interest? Talking 1/56, of course.

Talking 1/56, of course.

Sounds great. As I said ideal for a kill Hitler scenario!
