But will it ever be published? – it has been advertised in both e-book and traditional format for nearly 5 years now and still does not seem to be available…

This set comes up from time to time in Poland. Most of the info is already available online and in 2 publications.

Most interesting Swampking – thank you. Do you have any useful links or websites that will lead to those publications or the online info?
Thanks in advance

Hey KivaJoe,

Most of the illustrations are available (or were) in the uniform collection at the NYDPL.

His Napoleonic books have been reprinted about 5 times. The earlier volumes come up from time to time in used book stores in Poland.

The books are by Jan Czop and entitled:

vol. I: Barwa Rzeczpospolitej Obojga Narodow w XVIII Wieku, this is the one that covers the Lithuanian and Polish regiments in the 1700s

vol. II: Barwa Armii Krolestwa Polskiego, 1815-1830 i 1831

He also wrote a book entitled: Barwa Armii Krolestwa Polskiego 1815-1830 oraz w Wojnie Polsko-Rosyskiej 1831. I don't have this one, though it's available. I think it's a reworking of the above vol. II but with additional info on the new regiments raised during the Russo-Polish War of 1830-1831.

Actually, I'm planning to do a Grand Duchy of Lithuania army from the 1770s in 15mm after I finish off the Trojan War project.
Hope this helps!

If you speak/read Polish, the books are available here:

If you don't, then On Military Matters used to have them. I'm not sure if they still do but you can check.

You can always send me an email and I'll see if I can get them for you if you're interested.
