Hello again all,
To continue with my previous post here are more Scratch Built AFV's & IFV's.
2 of my favourite models are GZG 15mm Phalanx & Paladin. Even if they have been designed years ago they are still very scifi looking & never seem to get old.
My main concerns with them are that they are made of heavy metal which can be disastrous if model slips from the hand & they are low as vehicles go ( though they would look very plausible as 10mm or AI controlled ones ).
So I decided to do my versions of them.
As usual the hulls are very straight forward, made out of card of card , see the first pic for the tanks plan. The chassis are made of wood & card with marker cap based wheels. The axles are made from metal pop rivet leftovers . Turrets are made from PVC ( e.g. billboard type material & cotton bud barrels for the twin missile launchers ).
They're not perfect but came out great for gaming
I undercoated 3 in black & light sprayed with grey primer.

Enjoy
Z

GZG's Gall Force style vehicles are some of my favorites as well, I've only got the 6mm ones though. I really like what you've done with the design, they've got a nice "cursed earth" thing going.

Thanks all for liking them, glad you like them.

Zeelow, had to look that one up 😉, I learnt a new one today.Don't get me wrong ,I wasn't belittling GZG vehicles I just prefer resin/ card to metal ones. Figures is something else though, I have ton of GZG metal ones, don't like resin ones as they're too fragile.

Gokiburi, I have those too & they're so much better scale wise when compared to an infantry figure.

Reminds me of the crawlers from Soldier. Good stuff.

You're gonna have to get some of these builds of yours cast someday soon

You might like the new crates & drum coming soon from GZG.

Thanks all,
Kirk – those would be a challenge to build…. might try to someday.
Fritadas – The problem is that most of my stuff is made out of card etc & most of it is unique. I only cast the bits which I require for repeat ability like the Serpentia vehicle front but I'll consider building something which can be cast if someone is willing to do it.
MMG – can't wait to see them. Love the stuff you are doing for him .You have never have enough 15mm stuff.
Keep it up.
