Forged in Battle have posted on Facebook that they are launching their War & Empire III: Dark Ages on Saturday 3 February at 12.00 GMT. They are looking to increase their range with another 8 armies: Vikings, Normans, Anglo-Saxons, Late Roman, Palmyran, Hun, Justinian Byzantine and Arab. |

The last two were well run, backing this is a no brainer for me. |

Actually, there are 16 armies covered in the KS. link |

I have heavily backed the first 2 kickstarters, they were both well run and produced excellent figures. I probably wont go so deep into this one as I already have many of the armies, but there are still 2 or 3 that appeal to me. Count me in (again) |

Me too Redcurrant. Last Kickstarter I bought one army, but multiple units to replace or slot into existing armies. Terrain features and generals were good too. Have a look at their Facebook site, there is a 9 minute video of some painted masters. The Vikings particularly look characterful. They're also going to do the same as last time and re-open the 1st two Kickstarter's with this one. If you want to see quality, look at their previous ranges and view their Achaemenid Bactrian infantry, some of the best character sculpts I've seen in 15mm. Middle Imperial Romans were excellent too. |

Some beautiful figures. I watched the video, and was quite impressed. I just wish some of the ranges weren't primarily based on 1970s WRG, such as the Sassanids. I say this as a big fan of the War & Empire range and WRG. |

Skipped the first two ones, but will back this one – mostly to pick up stuff from the back catalogue, funnily enough. |

Had a look 'in the flesh' of the painted figures at York show today. Every bit as good as the video. |
