My group has decided to try Frostgrave with 15mm figures. Warbands are sorted, and I've found most of the stuff from the random encounter table and base scenarios, but constructs have proven elusive. I've found a few miniatures that work as large constructs, but almost no smaller ones. We probably need at least two that are 15mm human sized, and two that are visibly smaller than humans. (More large options might be useful as well, especially if they fit stylistically with the smaller ones, but nothing bigger than a 28mm human). Our enchanter would prefer something vaguely dwarven for his, but the rest could be anything from traditional golem to steampunk robots, as long as they don't look too futuristic. Any ideas? |

Battle Valor Games sells Dwarian (Dwarven) Stone Golems, Dwarian (Dwarven) Iron Golems, and a Dwarian (Dwarven) Juggernaut in 15mm.

You could always make your own out of balsa or ballast stones. |

I like Rich's suggestion. I would consider doing a construct with wheels for moving instead of legs myself. |

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I'd somehow missed those splintered light golems, they'll definitely work for non-dwarven medium and large constructs. I'll look into the battle valor, I kind of wrote them off in the past due to everything being in large packs, but those golems look nice (probably only work as large ones though). I also just dicovered that pendraken has 10mm rockmen that look to be the right size for small constructs, that should serve alright for everyone except our dwarven friend. So I may try my hand at sculpting/building some for him, I'm not great at sculpting inorganic stuff, but I'll give it a try (I'll post results, assuming they aren't too embarrassingly bad). |
