First I'm not associated with either of the two companies involved in this, but I have bought a lot of resin from Acheson Creations and always been very pleased with it. I am a designer of a Victorian Era Bug fighting game, The Hive and the Flame. With those disclaimers out of the way I want to bring this excellent project to as wide an audience as possible. There are three facets to the miniatures/terrain here. One is the human troops, the second the bugs and finally the tunnels. Each of these promises to provide excellent product within its niche and the creators have been wise enough to structure the reward levels and add ons so you don't have to get things you don't want. I don't need any high tech humans so I'm only getting Bugs and Tunnels. The Tunnel set has over 20 sections for 100.00. This looks like it would function for dungeon adventures as well as science fiction ones. The Bugs themselves look very nice and as I say (even though I hope to bring out my own line of bugs at some point) Giant Bugs are Giant Bugs. I only ask that they look good and scary on the table top. These certainly look the business! They are 75% there! With the new options they offer very flexible rewards. These products can have a lot of uses in several scales (Crap the bugs would be HUGE against 6mm human troops!). Help spread the word. Depending upon when these come out you might be seeing them at Origins. If not this year then next year! |
