Funny but, however great the castings and the vast range of figures Perrys produced, I think these are some of the most challenging to get right. ….in painting and basing. These are amongst the best I have seen. The colours need to be so suppressed, everything must be shades of grey with frost applied on highlights. "The Duellists" got it right. This selection is very well done. We have seen similar on this forum, awarded a prize some years ago, in colours that looked like Disney at a fashionable Ski resort. If you follow the link, go down a bit further to see his superbly done Polish Lancers of the Guard. Front Rank figures can have a sensible right arm after all (half the lancers do, the rest are of a crazy thickness) |
