Im thinking about making a tiny poster for 15mm (1/100) SF or Post Apocalyptic terrain. Perhaps announcing a snorkeling event at a sunken amusement park. Or maybe a medical promo poster offering to surgically graft on gills (or thick fur, whichever the case), but at half price on Embrace Climate Change Day (aka "Evolve" Day, EVO-Day?). At 1/100 it will have very little text, and the artwork can't be too "busy", of course. A) Would June 21, the longest solar day, be good enough? B) How about October 22, which would be six months after Earth Day (April 22)? Any other suggestion? :) Dan PS. Maybe a parody of this, for a Post Apocalyptic desert outpost. Maybe it could just say "Embrace Change":

Rather, make it an aspirational holiday set on the Winter Solstice (December 21) in hopes the day should be warmer than normal! |

Oooo, like for an iced over planet, I like that! Dan PS. I actually liked quite a bit the film The Colony (2013). Their weather control stations looked interesting too:

Can we get some scientists working on moving the Earth a bit farther away to reduce solar heating? |

Instead of a tiny poster why not a billboard? Easier plus it allows creative expression and even people as blind as I can see it |

April Fools is an excellent suggestion! Ooo, billboard! At 1/100, how big would a billboard be? What's the size of a typical billboard? Dan ————— EDIT I found this: "Typically 14 feet high and 48 feet wide" So 4.27 meters by 14.63 meters, I think. At 1/100 that's 42mm (1.65 inches) x 146mm (5.74 inches). Nice size indeed!!! |

I would go with June 21 myself for it would also mark the beginning of the hot period for the northern hemisphere! |

If I were doing it, I would make it the same as Earth Day. I would also design my own sign, maybe using cut and paste and some kind of editor. As for billboard size they are typically 14 ft high by 48 ft long. Terry |

Love the billboard idea. If you want to be ironic, maybe you could include a diesel generator and fuel tank to supply power for lighting. A nice oily stain running down the side of the tank and a blackish puddle indicating a spill. Also, make sure the exhaust stack on the generator is good and soot stained as well. |

"Why not Feb 29th?" I was going to say Feb 30th, myself… ;-) Instead of a specific date, just go with something like "Next Monday…" (or some similar day you think is bad luck… ;-) |

30th might be better. I picked the 29th because it was an actual date. The "sky is falling" crowd could have a special day but, the rest of us wouldn't have to experience it/them too often. |

I just noticed that the fish guy has no gills OR nose. Must be a "mouth breather" for sure. :) Dan |

That makes perfect sense to me!
Dan PS. I don't know about you guys, but I had never seen this cover before:
