What are the bigger ones?

What would be a good month to have one? (maybe a gap between 2 established ones?)

What type? Anime, comics, gaming, rpg, miniatures? Multi venue?
What is your target draw, local, regional? Level of expenses at the hotel and vendor tables, admission prices.
A lot to determine before considering month.
Football season would really be a dice roll.
National, dragon con, mega con, Pensacola,
Siege Augusta, Nash on, Bayou Wars, hubcon, Memphis MidSouth, coastcon biloxi, Jacksonville Rapier, Orlando Recon and Hurricon.
Florida has a large number of anime-comic shows.
One day gaming events on a monthly basis are real popular in some areas.

Im thinking tabletop (miniature and boardgaming)

I'd like a regional draw, but I'd settle for local. Something like HubCon would be perfect.

I think there are enough conventions already. The problem is that it is becoming harder to fill the conventions that exist…….

Time for me to request once again for permanent subregion folders here for cons and clubs.

It would be good to have which States you are interested in rather than "Southeast" which is open to interpretation.

There is indeed a number of well established conventions. To list just a few:

January Siege of Augusta, Augusta Georgia
February Rapier, Jacksonville Florida
April Recon, Orlando Florida
June Nashcon, Franklin Tennessee
June Bayou Wars, St Francisville Louisiana
September Hurricon, Orlando Florida
September Southern Front Raleigh-Durham North Carolina

And that is just a few of the larger ones. And dont dismiss the impact of a de facto national convention like Historicon in July.

Marc in another post, he mentioned the Miss area.
This year Bayou Wars has moved to Biloxi MS in June.
The MS Gulf coast gamers has a monthly game Sat.
Colonial Barracks in LA may be back in Nov of this year.
Several board gaming-rpg shows in the Carolinas.
The Mantic KoW groups also have a number of tourney weekends as does other systems.
