Funny how we boldly criticise what others do in war and conveniently forget what the west did during various wars. Monte Cassino and many Italian and German medieval towns spring to mind. |

As I read it, it was an active military target (enemy troops present and all). Not at all comparable to the organized destruction of museums and non-military sites that the enemies of civilization routinely destroy. |
