I'm not familiar with Grimdark, but your table and the game looked great. I was really impressed w/ your 'revamping' of your Necrons into 'Battlebots'. Inspiring. Thinking; change the weapons a bit (shorter or built as part of the arm; I.e. SW') and a brighter metallic look, they could be a good Cylon proxy or an automated 'com-bot' for an invading alien force. Or perhaps 'The' first stage of The Machines rebelling (Terminator) just before or after they unleashed nukes on mankind. WL's Project Z's Spec. OP's troops would be a great to use in skirmish games. If after the nukes were used, you could add in armed survivors to the game. In your BatRep you made the comment..
..so many games and so many great figs to get painted… so little time. 'IF' we all live til we get all our "to do" projects painted: No Gamer Will Ever Die. ) |
