Maybe a bit bright. I think yellow ochre might be more the thing or some weathering. Spanish dragoons would be a rough looking lot. A striking unit none the less. Time for the Neufchâtel battalion to form square!

While campaigning would of course dull the colors, the uniform, is specified to be "Lemon Yellow". They are actually painted Delta CC "straw", dry brushed bright yellow, and then a light black "magic wash". If you look at the many illustrations of this uniform, they all show a quite bright yellow. NOT like the dull yellow coats of the Saxon or Prussian Cuirassiers that wore 'yellow" jackets.
