Didn't the Prawn promise in 2009 that the ship would be back for Wikus in 3 years?

Well? Where's that sequel? Was that Human years or Prawn years? :)

I always wondered: did they restock the command module before they lifted off? If not, that would make for a much shorter trip. Or much, much longer.

Maybe I'll finally have some of these Prawns painted up by the time there is a sequel of some sort.

PS. Just thought of something. What if the acronym MNU (Multi-National United) is actually a clue for something else. It sure sounds a lot like the words "I'm in you", doesn't it?

I actually thought the movie ended pretty neatly. Why a sequel?

Why a sequel?

A promise was made. There were many other stranded Prawns. The planet is full of tasty humans.

I felt sorry for the Prawns.

Me too!

Even if they were treated with the dignity and respect of equals, they clearly aren't happy on Earth. It must look, feel and smell so alien to them.

a "promise" was made, in-movie.

No promised sequel was made nor will be made. Blomkamp has moved onto other things. And if they're anything like "chappie", we can but hope he stops. Especially if it is likely to imclude Die Antwoord.

When Christopher returns, he said he was going to being some reinforcements.

What sort of stuff do you think he would bring back with him?

In the meantime, now that the Prawns got a taste of human flesh, do you think the 2.5 million Prawns left on Earth are going to supplement their diet with South Africans?

Dan
PS. They sure looked hungry when they tore up the colonel to pieces and ate him:

Rumor has it that the sequel will be filmed in the Mall Of Africa (Johannesburg) with the screenplay written by George Romero shortly before his death. The working title is "Prawn Of The Dead".

Romero? I knew he'd be back. :)
