…Roasting His Teacher for Lying About Christopher Columbus

picture

"1. The matter-of-fact way he states, "Today was not a good learning day." Which, in this context, is the equivalent of starting a sentence with, "But I just think it's kinda funny that … "

Oh My ?!?!? huh?

Oh Brother. I don't see what's so grand about this kid's "journal" entry at all.

The last line says it all. If a white person isn't worthy of teaching Black History Month in his eyes, that tells me everything I need to know about his warped racist/supremacist upbringing. Sad is what it is. I can certainly understand the teacher's disappointment.

Well, at least the subject matter matches the forum category.

At least he caught on to the idea that the "native Americans" are not actually native, they came to what is now called the Americas From somewhere else, perhaps Siberia. So I guess they discovered these continents. Columbus discovered just small piece of the Bahamas. But he did open the area up to commercialization, while those Siberia-Americans Just keep it to themselves.

Cacique Caribe24 Jan 2018 11:35 a.m. PST

I wonder how many years it took the "Native Americans" to realize they weren't in Siberia any longer. :)

And do we know which individual led that first journey? How about the date, so that we can set aside that day for a yearly holiday?

People get credit for accidental discoveries all the time. The scientist who discovered super glue, Dr. Harry Coover, is just one of hundreds of examples. He discovered the chemical during WW2 and made it public a few years after the war.

But even if someone else had made a similar accidental discovery of the glue before him, they never made it known.

Vinland was also an accidental discovery. And though the Vikings who tried to settle there knew "they weren't in Kansas any longer", they pretty much kept it quiet. They made no effort to make their claim public, even though there were ways to do so in their time.

PS. But whatever great "insight" the kid may have had about the "Native Americans", his motives for writing that "journal" entry about that specific teacher seem to have been motivated by his own supremacist beliefs and his disdain for someone else's work just because of their race. He is being raised to hate and despise people based on their color. We should be long past that by now, so where's the media outrage about his upbringing? (I hear a lone cricket chirping)

This has no tabletop wargaming merit, even if it is drivel.

I dunno. Who discovered America is a perfectly acceptable discussion topic.

And I think it should be cross-posted to Ancients and Prehistory.

You just like discussing these things. Being outraged tickles your fancy. Even utter drivel is supposed to have tabletop wargaming merit, it's in the description.

I don't know … I've seen some real utter drivel posted on the Utter Drivel board. It is pretty much "open season" as long as the thread/posts don't violate TMP rules, etc., …

Students versus teachers, who makes those figures?

The objective would be to be as obnoxious as possible while still obtaining a certain level of education with teachers being less effective as you get more obnoxious. Might work as a board/card game.

Anti White Propaganda.

I'm a High School History teacher(which most High School kids care nothing about), and tho we have to follow our guide, we can and do teach over and above the guide.

This was nothing but anti white propaganda. The piece was nothing but a back handed insult to white people.

It seems that the left want us old white guys to be crying about being white.

Yawn… definitely anti-white propaganda. Ubiquitous these days.

Sadly that may be true today more than ever … It's rampant in the media.

Students versus teachers, who makes those figures?

Most civilians work for those scenarios.

I have done several sets for different scenarios:
– Public school riot
– Public and private school siege
– military school (TAPS)
– Soviet invasion resistance
– St. Trinians vs. (lots of different ones, MiB is fave)

and I have some bits to make a Hogwarts set.
