More adding to the range

These I am told were known, by the French, as the "Black flag troops" or pirates or worse
Armed to the teeth with a mixture of 16th century and modern repeating rifles they proved
to be formidable enemies against the French

The first guy is loading his Winchester

The second chap is wielding a formidable
Poleaxe

I do think both are very well posed and animated.

Some more Black flags from Ged. One is an enthusiastic and inspirational standard bearer. Ged tells me that they loved a flag so much, that one in ten carried one!

Second figure also with a deadly polearm

Ged says that 90% of Black Flags will be open-handed and he has made a variety of what was contemporary modern weaponry to provide their arsenal. The figures are sub-masters so are
not the finished product

Well you wanted more and to hear is to obey.

Ged tells me these are open handed, which greatly increases their potential. I love the castings but am also impressed by the quality of the photos. These are snapped on a I Pad. Why do I use an SLR, massive tripod, four spotlights, shutter cable, f32 etc, when he can do this in seconds?

More from Ged to add to the range
Flashman himself and the exotic Chinese lady, with an added vignette of a cauldron and sword.

Both he and she will be available individually or as a set.

This is loosely based on the front cover of the Flashman and the Dragon book by George Macdonald

Therefore the lady is scantily clad, but the fan hides her decency and should avoid us being Dawghoused.

Plus a Black Flag captain

Another Royal Guard to admire. At first glance you might think a duplicate, but look at different face, pose of legs and he does complement the earlier one nicely

Beautiful work and sculpts. The Orientals have such a lot of character in their faces and the costumes are really well executed.
Can't wait for the rest to follow.

Best Wishes davejl

Ged,
Not to get ahead of anything but I saw where you were thinking of doing Dahomey and Madagascar.I know you haven't even started Tonkin yet but Dahomey would be great IMO.

But do not forget TOTS (The Only Sensible Subject)…1815…..in TOTS (The One True Scale)… 28mm.

Counting on you. Nice kettledrummer for Carabiniers a Cheval for example. Never mind all this South East Asia stuff….something about the region. Any outside involvement always ends badly.

Waterloo…….What can possibly go wrong?

1815 and prior is forever in my thoughts
got a couple of newuns in the mix!

The range expands. Must confess my first thought was thought swap for an AK or the Chinese equivalent, stick them in The Delta or Iron Triangle, they would fit in just fine! Victor but not Nathaniel Chas.

But it seems nothing changes and these are a from a century earlier!

No idea who did these but I do love the understated and muted style of colouring. The face is great. I never do eyes and an Asiatic face I would not even contemplate……brilliant
