Does anyone recall the name of those rules that came out I believe in the late 90s for faster play F-P gaming? Seems like Rank and File figures were either associated with them, or just were popular at the time. They were not real complex, and pretty fast play.

They Died for Glory would be my guess

‘In the Age of Bismarck and Napoleon III' came out around 1992, written by Brian Phillips. Chris Atkin, who I *think* sculpted much of the Rank and File line, ran a lot of B&N III games at the HMGS East conventions. I became interested in the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-78 when a supplement for B&N III came out. Although we liked the rules I wouldn't describe them as simple.
Another popular, older set of rules is Larry Brom's, ‘Chassepot and Needlegun.' In my opinion, this set is simpler than B&NIII. Both are good sets of rules.

Sorry for not thanking you guys sooner…just checked back in here…thanks! I think I was thinking of both of those rules. We tried They Died…first, then moved to Bismarck…but I can't recall now which one we liked…dang memory!!

As the co-author of THEY DIED FOR GLORY I can only assume that TDFG was your favorite. :)
