OUTSTANDING! thumbs up

Amazing. This is surely a glimpse into the future of modelling, for buildings anyway. It will be while yet before the parallel lines mentioned are fine enough to be invisible when trying to show the complexities of the human anatomy.

Great paint finish too. I would have had the gate and the adjacent outhouse flush with front wall. Minor thing.

Thanks for putting this up here. I have been thinking about getting this in 15mm, but was unsure of what the finished quality would be. I think you have just persuaded me.

Marc at work15 Jan 2018 6:37 a.m. PST

Oh my, that is good – about £40.00 GBP UK money for 20mm. And it looks really good. 3D printing is evolving so fast.

The link to Mateus's page is worth a look, as he links to eBay, and shows off a lovely French chasseur at the same time…

Mateas,

Can you comment on what type of 3-D printer you were using?

Thanks, Mark

It looks to me as if he bought it off e bay already printed. If you follow his link the seller he mentions has got to be Printable scenery, they list that farm on their catalog on their site.

That's right, Bashytubits!

3d printing is not the "devil" often suspected.
I want not to hijack this thread, but allow me to Show some prints (not yet finished with painting) some of my Clients made.
For example the Normandy buildings are printed in 28mm. The full batch of couple of buildings costs now 60 Euro in my shop. And you also see the Farm on the gaming table (not from me, I guess printable scenery) shown in first post…

If you look for Printers type the names in Google: I do not name printers you have to build yourself as DIY. This are Printers nearly out of the box.

Look for
Wanhao I3 Plus
Anycubic I3 Mega
Creality CR 10

Only 3 very good Printers on market. I only named printes I tested myself. There are much more models out there….

If you want to see, for example, what you get with the normandy set, look at this past Kickstarter

Hijack all you want I would say.

These pictures are also amazing. This really is the future and the day will come when they come ready coloured I suspect.

@deadhead:
Colored buildings is actual possible with no problems. But in the moment, itīs not cheap …

@deadhand

follow the link, posted in 1st picture thread.
There you will see all contents of the Normandy range.

So those are files to print, rather than actual building models. Does anyone own the rights to sell the printed models?

Mateus16 Jan 2018 9:58 a.m. PST

I saw that Kickstarter, but unfortunately for me it was only 28mm. The buildings do look awesome!

@Mateus
For my KS I can say, all building-files are scalable.
I tested them in 15mm,20mm and 28mm. And if you take a look at the picture with green backround (St. Mere Eglise) you will see similar buildings in different scales.

Wow, this really seems to be coming of age :)

Antioch17 Jan 2018 5:22 p.m. PST

I am waiting for a Prusa mk3 printer & have been a supporter of Jens last Kickstarter… the files as he says are scaleable but you or someone will have to have a print bed big enough to print them or the pieces on.

Looking forward to some of the files I missed.
