Howdy folks. Recently I was looking to add some dedicated trench raiders to my 15mm WWI German forces, and since I wanted guys with knives and shovels and a few pieces of body armor, I had to look beyond the excellent Peter Pig lines.

I got some 15mm Irregular Miniatures figures, and immediately realized that size-wise they didn't match the Peter Pig figures as much as I wanted them to. They also had extremely little variety in poses, being clearly all based on the same original.

So out came the knife, super glue and some odds and ends. Here is a blog post describing my efforts to spice these guys up and make them fit in better with the rest of the platoon.

That's quite a team you have there! I like them.

Thanks guys, glad you like them. Now that I know I can order spare heads directly from Peter Pig (including some in cool field caps) rather than having to cut heads off other figures, the process will be a little less gory.

Herkybird, thank goodness these guys seem to be able to shoot – or roll dice – a little better than the boys in white did. But I think so far they've killed the same number of Ewoks…
