Must Contain Minis13 Jan 2018 12:29 p.m. PST

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to let the group know that I migrated my website, Must Contain Minis, from Blogger over to WordPress.
The new site is at…

As best I can, I have tried to complete the migration with as little downtime and missed content for my readers as possible.

It takes a lot of work to migrate. The changes have affected the layout of many of the pages and I have slowly been checking through and reformatting my troubled posts. Although it doesn't make a lot of difference to the end users of the site, the gallery links also have to be changed on over 2000 pictures.

What was more concerning is that I had over 50 posts that got renamed with names that don't match up to the old site. I am slowly going through these pages and putting 404 re-directs on those pages. If you encountered a missing page, I do apologize.

I still have to figure out how to fix my feeds too so that sites that automatically linked to my sites new posts can continue to link to them.

That said, Must Contain Minis looks much better on the new platform and I am absolutely in love with my new menu system across the top of the page.

For those interested, I wrote a post about why I started my site on Blogger and I discuss the many advantages (and misconceptions) about Blogger. Although I made the move to WordPress, I really liked Blogger too.

That article is posted at… link

I also wrote a short article about my initial thoughts on WordPress. That post is at… link

Anyhow, I just wanted to let everyone know about the changes to Must Contain Minis.

I also want to let people know that if they come across any "Page not found" errors on my site, I am working on correcting that issue.

Thanks for reading and come on over and check out the new site.
