Looks like it might be the Sean Connery character from "Highlander." No idea as to the company, perhaps Redoubt or Bicorne from the size. |

Style-wise it looks more like Old Glory to me – perhaps from their pirate range? |

He's an early renaissance commander of some sort. And he's quite a bit larger than Old Glory figures. But, you're correct about him working as a good pirate figure. Also, he was multi-part. The arms below the gauntlets were separate. |
