I have cut then from 2mm pvc and rounded the corners coated them with pva glue and sprinkled sand. When dry sprayed them desert colour I am not too keen to use the cards so for the tracking I am putting three tanks or infantry bases with the eventual removal when the unit suffers a hit and restore the model when its reorganized . the cards could be kept handy as regards combat value and armour strength its the unit ID that I need to sort out

Very nice! So the unit cards (sorry don't have the rules) in your system here can ride along with a stand to be seen/used, or tucked under a stand to stay remote, and not clutter the board if not needed? Is that standard Rommel, or your idea? |

Well my preference is to hide the card. The game can be played without models using just cards The card is intended to be marked for casualties but I am removing the models This is my first game eventually I intend to do without cards |

I don't like the cards either, but I compromised by just printing out a paper with a narrow strip that has the three strength boxes and any silhouettes of any unit attributes. Wish I'd thought of your stand or castings removal idea! |

Inspiring. Makes me wish I had gone with 6mm for WWII rather than 15mm. I have not purchased Rommel yet, but I am sorely tempted. |

6mm is a great scale for WW2. Small enough to give a feel of big battles but large enough to id weapon types. I would suggest some magnetism to help your stands stick a little to the big unit bases. |

I have asked a quote for 3x2 rounded corners 1mm metal laser cut bases but at €1.25 EUR each and I need minimum 100 it's an unnecessary cost |
