So, back to the old M8 Armored Gun System, with maybe a detour past the XM1202 Mounted Combat System.

With better sensors.

Maybe they should ask the Ukrainians how well light armoured vehicles fared when on the receiving end of the Russian hyper-baric warhead missiles and artillery. I think they lost several battalions to 'not-fired-by-us' Russian bombardments.
