Wow, search turned off for almost a month. This is getting serious. Being able to search for prior conversations and tap into the vast storehouse of knowledge is one of the key benefits of TMP. Although I wonder if this is an editorial ploy to drive up the post count since everyone has to post their questions since they can't search for their answers. |

The search routines put a lot of stress on the forum databases, which increases the incidence of bugs. So, while I am working on the bug issues, I'd like to keep database stress to a minimum. As a compromise, I will probably restore searches for Supporting Members, and see how that goes. |

I hear sleepy time (chamomile) tea helps lower stress too. I'm not sure how well it works on databases though. :) Dan |

A workaround I use is to use Google with the term "site:theminiaturespage.com" in the search box. |

Search still not working. Not currently a supporting member, though.
But I will add that this also hurts advertisers here. Not being able to search out what TMPers have said about products means they may lose sales… |

Preaching to the choir Cap! I do not understand why it either has not been fixed or why Bill has not said that it cannot be fixed. Either way, we should be given an update about it. Tmp is just not as important to me without it. Thanks, John |

I tried searching for stuff on here over the past couple of months without realising why the Search option had been (temporarily) dismantled.I couldn't find what I was looking for on each occasion, wasted hours of time, and got pretty frustrated.Any news on when it might be up and running again, and how we could access the function if/when it does please? |
