Hi all, in the absence of genuinely me Baden artllerists, what would be a good substitute – I was wondering about using Bavarian or Wuttemberg crews instead. Are these close enough? And what nations guns would look best please? Also wondering how many pieces the Aden contingent fielded – my books have very little information about them Thanks Marc |

1/72 for me, so the uniform has to be reasonably close (unlike, say, 6mm). Sorry, I should have said |

Thanks PoE – some good plates there. Looks like Bavarian or Württemberg will work – and the Württemberg Raupenhelm is probably a better/closer visual fit |

And my brother has mocked my poor attempt at English in the original post – LoL, shocking really, and I will blame my phone (even though it was my lack of error checking at fault). Glad you guys were able to make sense of my gibberish |

I used Bavarians for my Baden-Assen artillerists, but they were Minifigs stick figures so they could have been anything… |

Looking t the pictures I would use Wurttemburg for the Foot artillery and Bavarian for the Horse artillery because of the plume. |

Interesting that these do not seem to have used the multi-coloured comb support that the infantry used (the bit of the helmet below the woollen comb). My understanding of the infantry is that it was painted in red, silver and gold – but these are either plain or hidden. |

@Marc at work, Yup – you are correct as all the illustrations I have seen (including Histofig) are that way – see below: Uniformen der französischen Armee und deren Alliierten von 1806 bis 1815: Baden link Badische Uniformen aus zwei Jahrhunderten (1622-1830) link Abbildung der Großherzoglich Badischen Armee Uniformen 1813 link Knotel:
