Which skin color do you choose when painting Trolls? |
Bashytubits | 06 Jan 2018 10:31 p.m. PST |
My trolls are snow trolls and thus blue.

Green…though I have an old Standard Games one painted red. |
Herkybird | 07 Jan 2018 3:02 a.m. PST |
I agree, depends on the troll in question! |

I don't know – they hide behind the internet… Gaming wise the only ones I will ever have are Fantasy Flats from Steve Jackson Games and I think those are flesh color. |

What an odd question, it's like asking "what colour are your humans". Trolls are pigmented much like humans. More distinguishing features are a large nose, small beady eyes and a tail. Long hair and golden ear rings are common both for males and females. Source: Am swedish link |

Depends on your troll surely? I like D&D style trolls so I go with green normally but even then D&D has had many types of troll over the years with different types of skin tones. I'm going to paint some Bob Olley Trolls up soon as Ice trolls so I'm going pale blue skin. |

I have blue ones, green ones, red ones, several human flesh tones, and some very sickly yellow/green chaos nurgle ones |

Shades of gray, ranging from light gray to a dark purple or blue-gray. But they are your trolls, and they are completely made up, so make them any color you want. |

Mine are really old. But I used Testor's Beret Green over a black undercoat. |

I do have one painted flesh tone (you know pink skin) with green hair. Kinda like a troll doll. |
Frederick | 07 Jan 2018 6:42 p.m. PST |
Some are green, some very, very tanned flesh |

I've historically done either Green or Blue, though I am quite happy with this more "naturalistic" tone for a project I'm working on:

The only trolls I own are Olog-Hai, I painted them green. |
etotheipi | 08 Jan 2018 4:57 p.m. PST |
Mostly Caucasian …
… especially this one, of whom I am very proud (@Lupulus, this is my cut on a Nordic troll) …
… and some aquatic trolls, blue with green …
… and more Caucasian trolls from the Victorian era, but very colorful in dress …

I just painted the Copplestone 15mm trolls but too lazy to take photos. The skin was painted a grey-brown shade and the hair is varied between grey, brown, and black. |
goragrad | 08 Jan 2018 9:34 p.m. PST |
The trolls I have gotten were nearly all already painted some shade of green. Therefore the unfinished one and the just primed one will be painted to more or less match. No miscegenation allowed… |

Tolkien "hill trolls" (for Bo5A), so a nice stone color (because in The Hobbit, it's established that trolls are made of stone).
10mm figs. |
