Does anyone now where I might get details of forces, regiments and numbers so I might try a `what if` with the Confederates getting there early and digging in and Sherman's forces attacking. Using regimental fire and fury, just need a wee bit of help.

Thanks Chris tried the Union OOB yesterday in Wiki but I could not get it to work yesterday.
Can anyone give me roughly the strength of brigades and number of artillery pieces available.
Not easy to find so would be grateful for some help.

It's going to be difficult unless you want to dig thru the Offical Records. This site has selected portions of the Offical Records, look under the Atlanta Campaign. Unfortunately, what is there does not break down by brigade unit strengths nor gun totals (only manpower numbers for the respective commands. It will give you an alternate resource for an OB. civilwarhome.com
