We been playing FOG R and keep coming up with problem and the rules do not help. We have been trying to calculate how wins inpacts and melees Where 3 battle groups meets 2 or 3 meets 4 and so on. We are happy how you asign the dies and the points of advantage, With out being long winded about is 3 BG meets 2 bg The 3BGs hits are BG1 takes 2 hits, BG2(middle)takes 5 hits and BG3 takes 2 hits The 2bgs hits are bg1 takes 3 hits and bg2 takes 3 hits, Which battle groups are winers ? There is a big advantage being the winner of a melee -2 on your death roll and no cohesion test Can anyone help ? |

The thing to do is always think of it in terms of the single BG that you are considering, not comparing units to units.. Count the hits it did across all opponents, count all the hit it recieved. If it took more that it did it 'lost' and has to take the cohesion test (and death roll) You do have to track hits it inflicted and took – by BG. |

As listlurker says you look at the hits inflicted by and received by each BG to see whether it has won or not. |

As has been said you judge the results for each BG seperately, so using your example it would look like this: BG1 does 3 hits to bg1 BG2 does 0 hit to bg1 and 2 hits to bg2 BG3 does 1 hit to bg2 bg1 does 2 hits to BG1 and 2 hits to BG2 bg2 does 3 hits to BG2 and 2 hits to BG3 So: BG1 did 3 hits and took 2, they won. BG2 did 2 hits and took 5, they lost BG3 did 1 hit and took 2, they lost. bg1 did 4 hits and took 3, they win. bg2 did 5 hits and took 3, they win. |
